PLDT sees strong outsourcing gains ? The Outsource Blog

Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. expects to sustain the double-digit revenue growth of its business process outsourcing units this year, amid the bright prospects for the industry.

?The prospects for our BPO business continue to improve buoyed by the double-digit growth forecast for the outsourcing industry,? said PLDT president and chief executive Napoleon Nazareno.

SPi Global, the group?s outsourcing unit, saw its service revenues rise 20 percent to P2.4 billion in the first quarter from a year ago. This accounted for 5 percent of PLDT?s consolidated revenues during the period.

The knowledge processing solutions unit of SPi Global posted a 22-percent increase in service revenues to P1.6 billion as of end-March, as a result of the full integration of the content solutions business of India-based publishing BPO Laserwords which the group acquired late last year and an 11- percent increase from its content solutions services.

Revenues from customer relationship management services also rose 16 percent to P0.8 billion, with domestic sales registering a 10-percent growth.

?This potential, coupled with a focused approach of generating sales, managing costs, and delivering world-class quality services, should ensure the growing contribution of our BPO business to overall PLDT performance,? Nazareno said.

SPi Global has recently signed up new clients for both CRM and KPS businesses, including the expansion of existing contracts. It has also fully integrated Laserwords with its content solutions business.

?We also see continued margin growth as SPi Global leverages fixed costs and infrastructure over a higher revenue base that increases seat share ratio over stable operating expenses,? said SPi Global president and chief executive Maulik Parekh.

The PLDT Group consolidated its BPO operations, consisting of CRM and KPS under SPi Global in 2011. KPS and CRM had previously been under ePLDT, along with other ICT businesses such as data center operations, which have since been transferred to the fixed-line business.

Time To Go Long Oil Again As Iran Ramps Up Uranium Enrichment

In the past few months, oil prices have sold off heavily on four major factors: a higher dollar, a weaker global demand picture, a supply glut, and the apparent easing of Middle Eastern tensions. While the first three are undeniably true, one can easily question the last point, especially on recent developments in the Middle East region.

The biggest focus in the oil market is on Iran, less for its production capabilities (4.9% of global production), but more for its geographic position. Iran, through the strait of Hormuz control the major (20% of global production) supply line of oil tankers from the Middle East. Recently, however, hopes had been that talks in Baghdad between the P5 + 1 countries and Iran would create common ground and a democratic resolution.

I questioned and still do how any major talks will resolve any of the underlying issues, especially in the context of past talks - none of which were successful. In my eyes, Iran will try everything to obtain a nuclear weapon, because without one, the regime in charge will fall. Iran has huge internal divisions, except for bi-partisan support for a nuclear Iran, which unites the people. If the current regime caves into international pressures from the west, it would be game over for the regime.

Recently, a UN investigation has found 27% enrichment levels above previous stated levels (20%), and far above the levels (4%) needed for purely "energy" purposes. This is not an isolated news story. The continued development of the defenses at Fordow Enrichment plant, which when completed will be strong enough to survive any air-strike. This plant, like one at Natanz was not disclosed by Iran, but discovered by British-American-French intelligence units. The trend is clear, Iran is trying to understate its capabilities in talks and Uranium statements, while in the meantime developing stronger and more secret reactors.

While from the US's perspective, it may still have time on the bargaining table before military intervention, for Israel the situation is vastly different. I will re-highlight comments from Israeli Prime minister Netanyu that I have written about previously;

"Israel has waited for diplomacy to work; we've waited for sanctions to work. None of us can afford to wait much longer..... As prime minister of Israel I will never let my people live in the shadow of annihilation" - Netanyahu

When Fordow is complete, only the US will have the military capabilities to attempt to destroy it. While there is a clear alliance between Israel and the US, Netanyahu does not want to be in a position where the US dictates all. Israel wants action and it needs it fast.

The threat of tensions in the Middle East, has driven oil higher many times. The Arab spring last year, and previous break down of Iranian talks have pushed oil as high as $120, as also have many previous Iranian conflicts. I feel it certain that the question of war comes back on to the table, time and time again. This will continue to boost oil prices dramatically. But, in the longer run over perhaps a 2-5 year picture, I find a war with Iran inevitable for Israel. The exact consequences of which are unknown, but the direction of oil will only be one way - up and dramatically so.

I will briefly comment on the other dynamics affecting oil and why I believe it will ultimately be positioned in a bullish manner. Weaker economic growth will not be allowed to continue for too much longer thus it is only a matter of time until another round of Quantitative easing - a risk on for all risk assets, oil higher and dollar lower. If economic growth returns to more normal levels then demand for oil will increase through more conventional means anyway. As for supply, the biggest driver has been Saudi Arabia, which has ramped up production. While there is no change in rhetoric yet, it can not sustain a budget below $80, and similarly for other nations (Russia $97 Brent). This marks the downside scenario, as these oil producing countries will do all they can to support their budgets.

I feel going long oil directly is probably the best path through an ETF such as CRUD or perhaps indirect plays as going long Russia ERUS as the best way to play Iran. The oil equity names are extremely cheap and thus offer fantastic value, but if a war breaks out it may end up hurting supply, and equities do not always follow their underlying commodity.

That been said, I am long BP, RDS.A and GZPFY.PK on fantastic valuation and a more bullish tone to the global economy than what the market prices in. Besides going long an oil major is an attractive way of covering all eventualities, while taking the upside and being paid a hefty dividend in the meantime.

Disclosure: I am long GZPFY.PK, BP, RDS.A.

NCAA softball: Arioto's homer propels Cal past Washington

Opposing teams have found a foolproof way in recent weeks to stop Cal softball slugger Valerie Arioto. They walk her.

Conference rival Washington decided to pitch to the Pac-12 Player of the Year in the NCAA super regionals on Saturday night, and Arioto blasted a two-run homer in the first inning that propelled the Bears to a 5-0 victory before a capacity crowd of 1,117 at Levine-Fricke Field.

"I'm glad they pitched to her," Cal coach Diane Ninemire said. "If you're going to pitch to her and she gets the pitch, you'll get what you saw tonight."

The top-seeded Bears (55-5) are now one victory away from their 12th trip to the College World Series. Cal and UW (39-18) meet Sunday at 4 p.m., with a third game, if necessary, at 6:30 p.m. The Huskies must win twice to earn the bid to the CWS, which starts Thursday in Oklahoma City.

The Huskies battled Cal in three tight games here early in the Pac-12 season, losing by a combined margin of five runs. This one wasn't close.

Senior Jolene Henderson (35-2) struck out 11 and allowed just four hits while posting her 16th shutout of the season. She escaped her only real jam by starting an inning-ending double play with the bases loaded in the fifth.

Arioto, who has set a Cal single-season record for home runs, had not gone deep in seven previous games, including five Berkeley regional contests last weekend. The drought is mostly the result of pitchers avoiding her. Over the previous 14

games, she had just two homers, but 27 walks.

The 16th-seeded Huskies, who won three times via shutout at the Seattle regional, got brave in the first inning and paid for it.

"I was just hoping they'd pitch to me so I could produce for my team," said Arioto, who walked 13 times in the Berkeley regional.

Britt Vonk reached first on a perfectly placed bunt with one out and the Huskies decided to have Kaitlin Inglesby pitch to Arioto.

"We don't worry about what other teams do," UW coach Heather Tarr said.

Big mistake. The senior from Pleasanton launched a high home run beyond the center field bleachers, giving the Bears a 2-0 lead. It was her 23rd homer of the season and the 54th of her career -- one shy of Veronica Nelson's nine-year-old school record.

Actually, Tarr called Inglesby's delivery a mistake. "She capitalized on a pitch we hung," the coach said.

"She did what she's supposed to do on that pitch," Inglesby confirmed.

Two batters later, senior Jace Williams made it 3-0 with another home run to center, her seventh of the season.

Henderson had the lead she needed and the Huskies rarely pressed her. "I thought we really came out ready to play," Ninemire said. "Jolene threw a tremendous game, really kept the hitters off balance."

The Pac-12 Pitcher of the Year, Henderson said she felt "awesome" throwing the ball.

The Bears nearly registered their third homer of the game in the second inning, but UW centerfielder Jerrin Fa'asua reached above the fence the pull back Danielle Henderson's drive.

How to Diagnose Multiple Sclerosis ? MTips

How to Diagnose Multiple Sclerosis
By Sabas Chapa
Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune disorder that has no cure at this time. The disease is characterized by numbness or weakness throughout the body, vision problems, lack of balance and fatigue. When it comes to how to diagnose multiple sclerosis, the process is easier said than done. Since there is no specific diagnostic protocol for this disease, a series of tests is typically run to rule out other reasons for the patient?s symptoms. These tests to determine a multiple sclerosis diagnosis might include blood tests, x-rays, a spinal tap and a diagnostic procedure known as an evoked potential test. A diagnosis of multiple sclerosis results when no other physical disorders are discovered throughout the testing process.

Topic To Diagnose Multiple Sclerosis:

  • Diagnose Multiple Sclerosis

To Diagnose Multiple Sclerosis Difficulty:

To Diagnose Multiple Sclerosis You?ll Need:

To Diagnose Multiple Sclerosis Instructions:

  • Make an appointment with your doctor to discuss your symptoms and a possible multiple sclerosis diagnosis. Symptoms of concern might include numbness or weakness in limbs, double vision or loss of vision, tingling, fatigue and dizziness.
  • Plan for blood tests that bring your doctor closer to a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis by ruling out other potential diseases that could be causing the symptoms. Inflammatory diseases, infections and chemical imbalances can result in similar signs, but many of these disorders can be effectively treated through medication and other treatments.
  • Schedule a spinal tap with your doctor. This test involves the removal of a small sample of fluid from the spinal canal that is taken for analysis in a laboratory. The spinal tap is often a component in how to diagnose multiple sclerosis, because the fluid may show abnormalities in white blood cells or proteins that may indicate a malfunction of the body?s immune system and the presence of the disease. This test may also rule out other diseases and infections.
  • Prepare for an MRI through your health care provider or local health care facility. This test, also known as magnetic resonance imaging, uses a magnet, radio waves and a computer to create an image of the brain and spinal cord. This test can be helpful in making a multiple sclerosis diagnosis because it often shows abnormalities or damage in these areas that can indicate the presence of the disease. An MRI is considered one of the best tests used to diagnose multiple sclerosis to date.
  • Ask your doctor about an evoked potential test. As doctors are learning more about how to diagnose multiple sclerosis, this test is providing additional information to get an accurate determination of the disease. The procedure is painless and involves the use of visual or electrical stimuli to measure the electrical signals your body sends to your brain. These tests may be performed by your doctor, but are usually sent to a neurologist for interpretation.
  • Make a follow-up appointment with your doctor once all of the tests are complete to determine whether a definitive multiple sclerosis diagnosis can be made. If your doctor can determine how to diagnose multiple sclerosis based on these tests, you will then move toward the treatment phase of the disease. This involves learning to effectively manage symptoms and slow the disease progression.

Headaches Migraines: Health and Fitness: Headaches Migraines ...

What Causes a Migraine Headache?

If you are reading this, it is because you may be interested in the subject, or you may be experiencing these headaches yourself. The first thing I would like to share with you is that I know what it feels like, because I?ve been there for many years, struggling with my own demons breaking my head in two.

But after a lot of research, I learned much about these Migraine Headaches, enough to find the source of my own disorder.

All I can say now is that I consider myself cured from this. Of course I have some headaches sometimes, we all do, but the most important thing I made in my life was to change certain habits that were triggering these headaches, and being powered because of my life style, they were becoming really a danger to my health.

What was my trigger in particular?

STRESS!

Before I realized all this, I had a very stressed life, a stressful job that took me many hours almost every day with overtime hours, and in that moment I was having some issues at home. And not to count that I go to college everyday after work.

Many stressful situations, and being myself a stressed person, I was collapsing. And then I started to experience these painful Migraine Headaches.

I had almost three to four episodes every week, that lasted more than five hours or so. I often woke up at night with my skull in flames, lot of pain behind my eye-balls.

As you can see, It was becoming a really dangerous situation in my life. Of course I seek for Medical advice. And they gave me relief pills, there are tons of them to try, and depending on each person, they really work. They worked for me as well, but the problem was that, the more I took them, the less effect they were giving me.

Then I realized that I had to track the source of it, because it was not normal at all, and it was not pathological as well.

When I discovered all these triggers, I just couldn?t believe it, all the information that we don?t have if we don?t research for it. After taking some action, it took me like six months to make a life style change that suited me better, and guess what? My migraines started to decrease considerably!

So that you already know that STRESS might be one trigger for migraines, I will share some other that are vital in every person life, like:

  • Diets: Diets can be a trouble if not followed correctly, and it can be as well a trigger for headaches.
  • Sleep: Sleeping disorders are a very common trigger for headaches, and the way we live today nowadays, it is very likely almost all of us have some problems here some times.
  • Sex Life: you can find this funny, but this IS a trigger. Emotional feelings are very much related to having headaches, and a mix of emotions and sex, it just can happen!
  • Period time: for women, same as above, feelings play their part here.
  • Weather: Humidity, rain, excessive heat, these are all factors that trigger headaches.
  • Environment: Like cigarettes, smoke, smog in suburbs, perfumes, all triggers as well.

There are more triggers, but I consider these as the most common and the most relevant for all migraine sufferers.

SYRIA: The international community condemns massacre of Hula

SYRIA: The international community condemns massacre Hula
?????? AFP ? Convictions multiplied Saturday after the massacre in Houla, where UN observers have counted a hundred deaths, including over 32 children, the Secretary General of the UN accusing Damascus to violate international law and its commitments.

????

Kuwait: call for arming the rebels after the massacre of Syrian Hula

Hundreds of Kuwaitis, including MPs, protested Saturday in front of the Syrian Embassy to denounce the massacre of Hula, Syria, and seek weapons of Free Syrian Army (SLA).

The Islamist MP Jamaan al-Harbash urged Arab Gulf States and Turkey to intervene to protect civilians in Syria and warned that if governments could not act, ?they should open the door to the peoples of the fight.?

Falah al-Sawwagh, another Islamist parliamentarian, called for sending arms to the ASL and called the Kuwaitis to exert pressure on their government to provide greater assistance to the Syrian people.

Paris, London and Berlin have also denounced the killings, but noted the call by the Syrian Army free (ASL), composed mostly deserters, to conduct ?air raids? against the regime of Bashar al-Assad.

The opposition accused the authority to have committed the massacre that would have done, according to Syrian Observatory of Human Rights (OSDH), 114 dead, including 32 children.

Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and Kofi Annan?s envoy condemned ?in strongest terms the death, confirmed by the UN observers, dozens of men, women and children ?at Hula, in central Syria, said Martin Nesirky, spokesperson for Mr. Ban.

?This terrible and revolting crime, in which force was used indiscriminate and disproportionate, is a flagrant violation of international law and commitments made by the Syrian government to cease its use of heavy weapons in cities and violence whatsoever, ?still felt MM. Ban and Annan, adding that ?the perpetrators of these crimes must be tried.?

Damascus, General Robert Mood, Chief Observer, also condemned ?the brutal tragedy? and said that the observers had counted over 92 dead, including 32 children under 10 years, adding that teams were pursuing the count on site.

The opposition has attributed the massacre to the regime of President Bashar al-Assad, while the official SANA news agency accused of ?armed terrorist groups? to have ?burned and blew up houses Friday night (? ) to believe that the Syrian armed forces bombed the area. ?

According to the OSDH

, the bombing began Friday afternoon on the outskirts of Houla and continued until Saturday at dawn.

General Mood has not appointed officials, but stressed that ?observers have confirmed (?) the use of artillery fired from tanks.?

ASL is mainly composed of soldiers who deserted with their arms, while the army tanks are still deployed in cities in violation of the Annan plan intended to end the violence.

Warning against a ?civil war?, General Mood has called on the government ?to stop using heavy weapons? and ?stop resorting to violence?, also urged ?the opposition to s? refrain from using violence ?to achieve a? political solution ?.

? The Annan Plan will go to hell ?

Meanwhile, ASL no longer felt bound by its commitment to the Annan plan, six weeks after agreeing to a cease-fire under the plan, technically entered into force April 12 but been consistently ignored.

?Unless the Security Council of the UN to take urgent decisions to protect civilians, the Annan plan will go to hell,? said the ASL.

Previously, General Mustapha al-Sheikh, head of the Military Council of the ASL, called ?urgently friendly countries from Syria to form a military alliance outside the Security Council of the UN, to conduct targeted air strikes against gangs of Assad. ?

the approach of Mr. Annan?s visit to Syria planned for earlier this week, the condemnations of the massacre of Houla have multiplied.

Berlin said he was ?horrified and shocked?, while Paris has condemned the ?atrocities? inflicted on the Syrians.

?I take immediate contacts to meet in Paris the Group of Friends of the Syrian people,? announced the French Foreign Minister, Laurent Fabius.

His British counterpart, William Hague, called for ?a strong international response? and announced his intention to seek an emergency meeting of the Security Council of the UN ?in the coming days.?

Meanwhile, the Gulf Cooperation Council has ?condemned the massacre in Houla by Syrian regular forces? calling the ?international community to shoulder its responsibilities to put an end to the bloodshed in Syria.?

United Arab Emirates for their part, asked for an urgent meeting of the Arab League while in Kuwait, several hundred demonstrators gathered outside the Syrian Embassy to demand the arming ASL.

Elsewhere in Syria, the violence is Saturday 20 dead, including five soldiers, according to OSDH, which has reported numerous protests over the killing of Hula.

According to the OSDH

, more than 12,600 people have died since the beginning of the revolt against the regime, mostly civilians killed by government forces.

Moreover, the fate of 13 kidnapped Lebanese Shiite pilgrims in Syria on May 22 was uncertain when Beirut was announced Friday they were released and were in Turkey.

Tricks On How To Get A Good Deal In Commercial Real Estate ...

You should always know how to get in touch with emergency maintenance. Inquire with your landlord about who handles the emergency repairs in the space you rent. Keep their numbers updated, and know how long it takes them to arrive on average. Consider how an emergency will affect your business operations, and have an emergency operating plan in place.

Before you purchase a property, talk to a tax advisor. The tax lawyer will help you find out how much it will cost you and how much you will be taxed. Utilize the advice given to you by your tax adviser in order to locate a property in an area where your investment will incur the least taxes.

Invest in real estate that has a large number of units. The higher the number of units you have in a property, the more streams of financial income you have from the property. Many investors will only consider properties with more than 10 units, and they know that if they have more units, the more money they will make.

One of the biggest differences between a residential loan and a commercial one is the size of the down payment you?re required to make. Searching for a reliable lender and a good investment can lead you to find the commercial loan you need.

How does the firm you?re considering measure their results? They have ways of determining how much square footage you require, conducting negotiations and selecting properties, and knowing how they do all these gives you a better idea of how they will serve you. You can benefit a lot if you know things like this.

Learn to understand the commercial real estate metric called Net Operating Income (NOI). In order to be successful, you will have to make sure that you never dip into the negative.

When investing in commercial real estate, go bigger. A building including five units is no more difficult to administrate than one with fifty. Buildings with fewer units require financing just like the ones with more units, and buying larger buildings can actually be cheaper per unit to purchase.

If you have just begun investing, try to stick to one kind of investment. Pick out just one type of property to begin with and then give it all you?ve got. It is advisable to try to do a good job at one type of investment as opposed to being average on a lot of different types.

Ensure that you?re dealing with a customer-conscious company prior to making a purchase. Otherwise, you could end up having costly, but avoidable, consequences from your deal.

Bugs and rodents are always looking to ruin your property, so factor pest control into your business strategy when renting commercial property. Getting pest control covered is especially important if you are renting in a building or area that has had previous pest issues.

Try borrowing some of the tenets of feng shui for use with your properties. A space that is open and not cluttered is one of the principles id feng shui that buyers like.

Document your business needs prior to hunting for commercial property. You should know precisely what your business?s office space requirements are. If you have hopes of company growth, you will clearly want to purchase excess space, rather than wait until later when prices go up.

Anyone in real estate would be wise to keep the possibility of inflation or an economic downturn at any time. At one time, signers were protected from the effect of inflation by leases that included automatic adjustments based on Consumer Price Index data. With the way things work today, take precaution because this type of contract is extinct, which leaves you a lot more vulnerable when it comes to losses as a result of inflation.

An important component to your commercial investment is determining your rental allocation strategies. Be cognizant of just how much you expect to charge for rent before speaking with a possible tenant. As such, you will more easily attain the goals you established.

If you want to know if a real estate broker is honest, ask him where he makes the majority of his money. An honest broker, of course, will be open to discussing how their money was made. You should understand how they will look out for your interests, and when they might shift their focus to their own profit.

When interviewing potential brokers, ask them to tell you about their experience level with the type of commercial investments you are interested in. Make sure you know that they actually specialize within the area you plan on selling and buying. You and this broker should enter into an agreement that is exclusive.

Location is the most important factor in choosing a commercial property to buy. Find out more about the neighborhood. You will also want to calculate growth expectations by comparing similar neighborhoods. Since you will likely still own the property in ten years, you want it to be located in an area that is likewise still desirable in ten years.

Build an online presence before moving into the market. Set up a website and profiles with various search engines and social networks. Make sure that you use search engine optimization on your website so that people can find you easily. You want people to find the information you provide just by searching your name.

The first step is to find the best lender to finance the transaction. Loan products and commercial lenders are different from home loans. In some ways, they are better. To acquire a commercial loan, you will likely have to cough up considerably more of a down payment. On the other hand, you won?t be liable personally if the loan falls through. Furthermore, these loans are more lenient if you want to acquire part of the down payment from a family member, friend or acquaintance.

Hunting for commercial property is a stressful and sometimes overwhelming situation for beginners and experts alike. This article was designed to ease some of the tension and confusion associated with buying commercial real estate, and lead to a smart investment.

Business Diary | Business Networking, Mentoring & Loads Of Press ...

This week I?ve been out networking again, enjoying putting the top down on the car and driving about in the sun, having attended several events organised by the Worthing & Adur Chamber of Commerce.

The first was the monthly ?Peer 2 Peer? mentoring group organised and subsidised by the Chamber and we are at our 3rd meeting now and the group is beginning to bond, with several joint ventures being created already.? I pretty much know when I walk in a room who I?m going to get on with immediately but there are quieter people who I take a while to get to know and this group is great for that.? We are also starting to feel safe enough to open up a bit.

One of our number volunteered accidentally for what our group facilitator is calling ?Reflective Learning? which is where you present a business issue and get 5 minutes to outline that.? Then we all have resist our usual mode of offering solutions, but try and ask open ended questions designed to get the person in the hot seat to think differently.? Like herding cats that was, but we got there in the end and the victim said it was really helpful, as he?d been avoiding thinking about the issue for a while.

We generally adjourn to the pub (the only time you would catch me in a Weatherspoons ? especially in Worthing) but I have to say, the food was surprisingly good for the price and the great conversations carry on for another hour or so.

They are starting two? new groups now and it?s real value for money at around ?40 a month or so, so email tina.tiley@worthingandadurchamber.co.uk for more info.

The second event was a lunch at Impulse Leisure (previously y Lancing Leisure) which I?ve managed to avoid hitherto but I was again, pleasantly surprised by the large breezy room, pleasant food and the enjoyable company several of my new Chamber maties.

The CEO of the local council Peter Latham was speaking this time and he seemed quite entertaining but once more I found myself challenged by being largely unable to hear more than one word in three.? I had the same issue at the Chamber AGM where Gill Fielding was nearly inaudible in spite of standing in front of a microphone and the presence of some fairly large speakers that certainly were not turned on.? Most mysterious that was.

I must talk to Tina about the Chamber perhaps getting a portable PA system ? like Brighton Chamber has apparently ? that she knows how to use as, when I quizzed my table mates as to whether they were able to hear clearly, they all shook their heads.

Coming up soon is the launch party of The Dome Vintage Tea Room, on June 7th co-ordinated by Sheryl@WorthingDomeEvents.co.uk if you fancy coming and there is also a Worthing & Adur Chamber Hub event at Shoreham Airport next week which you can attend free I believe.

I need more business cards, if I ?m going to keep up this level of networking.? My old beloved Business Success Factory Moo Cards are out of date, with the wrong phone number and email on them so I can?t use those.? I don?t? like people ringing me out of the blue so I could live with that but the email address being wrong is just out of order.? It?s all down to my vacillating at the beginning about using the .co.uk versus the .com!

That site is all about mentoring nowadays too, which is not the target market for all this networking, so I need Cairncross Media cards now.

This is where I run up against the graphic design conundrum ? which is that I am very fussy with a strong sense of what I want but I find it very difficult to explain what I want and get very impatient with graphic designers who create things that are nothing like the kind of thing I like!

I?m certainly not willing to pay to go through that pain just yet, so I?ve thrown myself on the mercy of my mate Steve who is not only a brilliant WordPress web designer but has a great design eye too.? Steve is my preferred go-to outsourcer for websites for Cairncross Media clients so we all get a great deal there with his unique combo of techie and design skills.

Sunday night brings the closing of the Brighton Fringe for the Brunswick Pub, one of the Fringe?s larger venues, with my Cairncross Media client (and singing sister!) Heather Cairncross performing songs from her debut solo album ?At Last?.She?s just been featured on the Music Week?s ?Unsigned? CD and page ? she was picked as Track #1 so that?s very cool.? You can see that here >>>

Described as ?near as perfect as you?re likely to get? by Walter Love- Jazz Club ? Radio Ulster, it?s an evening of easy listening standards in the style of Ella so don?t feel you have to be a jazz aficionado to come and enjoy it.

Heather Cairncross & David Newton @ The Brunswick PubIt?s going to be a great night with TEN times ?best jazz pianist? award winning David Newton on piano, with lovely local boys Jim Whyte on drums, Steve Thompson on bass and Rob Heaseman on trumpet.? Heather was not only heavily featured in Sussex Society magazine (make it bigger by clicking on it and search for Page 39) but our press release efforts have resulted in not one but TWO interviews on Radio Sussex, the most recent this Friday gone, on Joe Talbot?s show so I hope it will be full, too.? You can listen to it again on iPlayer here >>> if you are in a hurry, just fast forward to about the 1 hour 51 mins point.

Not too late to book via the Brighton Fringe website, it?s only ?10 (?8 concessions) and we can say hello!? That link takes you straight to the page.

See you there or at a business networking event locally!
