According to Brzezinski, the ongoing crisis in the Middle East, if intensified by an extensive military strike, would have a negative impact on the whole globe. Oil prices will increase, he specifies, which would ?wreak havoc on Europe?s financial recovery?.
Brzezinski predicts that, in terms of increased oil prices Russia would demand ?to respect its geopolitical aspirations? in the neighboring states.? Besides, ?Russia would seek closer strategic co-operation with China.?
Brzezinski addressed the winner of the forthcoming US presidential elections and suggests his solutions to this ?international chaos?.
He suggests that Russia and China should be more intensely engaged in the Syrian crisis solution development activities. He also supports tightening of anti-Iranian sanctions. He contends that ?strong and explicit support? should be provided for ?a more politically united Europe?. And finally, the scholar claims there is an urgent need for ?a high-level strategic dialogue? between the US and China.
