From Modular Home Builder comes word modular builder Blu Homes, which moved its operations from Massachusetts to an old airplane hangar in Vallejo, Calif., as we reported here Sept. 14, 2012, has purchased the assets of modern accessory dwelling maker Modern Cabana. The styles fit in with Blu?s modernistic designs. Blu?s prices start at $125,000 for a studio modular unit. Modern Cabana?s upscale modular accessory buildings are suitable for work or play. Terms of the transaction were not released. MHProNews has learned Modern Cabana was started in 2004 in San Francisco and has been a family-owned business, specializing in high quality small modular buildings.
